(PLA/Google Shopping and Online Marketplaces)

YDesign Group is looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist to join our team in our Sacramento, CA office. This person must be passionate, creative, and results oriented. In this role, the Digital Marketing Specialist will work with the paid search team to focus on Product Listing Ads (PLA/Google Shopping) and other Shopping initiatives. The candidate will have a high level of exposure to multiple functions to ensure that all initiatives are launched in a timely manner with aligned goals and executed with the highest degree of accuracy and effectiveness.

Responsibilities/Key Objectives:
Product Listing Advertising Management:
• Tactical campaign development of PLA campaigns for Lumens and YLighting
• Monitor daily product data feed for any errors or feed failure
• Diagnosing and correcting disapproved products and promotions
• Support promotions using the Google and Bing/Microsoft Merchant Centers
• Ongoing support with shopping campaign optimization through bid recommendations, search query negation (negative keywords), new campaign and ad group builds, product group partitions, promotional timeline, etc.
• Continuous research of highly competitive Google Shopping landscape to discover new opportunities
• Produce daily, weekly and month-end performance reports, plus additional ad hoc analyses as required
Marketplace/Shopping Programs:
• Ensure ad and product listing visibility across shopping platforms
• Monitor and optimize storefront, campaigns, and ad listings to ensure performance goals are met within each shopping program
• Continually test product reintroductions, bidding, and paid marketing strategies
• Monitor and keep reporting of daily, weekly, and monthly performance across accounts
• Audit spend to ensure billing accuracy
• Stay up to date with all the best practices, emerging trends, and principles shopping programs and marketplaces
Minimum Educational/Experience Requirements:
• 2-3+ years of demonstrated expertise and experience in paid search and/or eCommerce
• Hands-on experience with online campaign builds, management, analysis, and optimization
• Experience managing paid search/shopping campaigns (e.g. Google Ads, Bing Ads)
• Familiarity with eCommerce KPIs, manual and automated bidding strategies, negative keyword match types, bid modifiers, audiences, etc.
• Experience with website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics formerly Omniture SiteCatalyst)
• Digitally savvy and an Excel expert
• Highly personable, with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
• Self-motivated, results-driven professional who consistently delivers high quality work
Preferred Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience in campaign optimization and improving ROI across multiple ad platforms
• Paid marketing experience within an ecommerce and/or retail environment
• Experience creating and optimizing paid search or PLA campaigns around promotional calendar and key events
• Can take ownership of new and existing PLA and shopping programs, develop compelling ad copy, and optimize campaigns
• Familiarity with PLA (Product Listing Ads) in Google or Bing and shopping campaign funneling strategy
• Familiarity with shopping programs and marketplaces such as Google Shopping Actions, Amazon, and other online shopping platforms
• Product feed management and optimization experience, a plus
• Ability to work well independently but also able to collaborate and establish good rapport with colleagues
• Proactively identify data-driven trends and opportunities within the marketing campaigns
• Excellent organization and attention to detail skills
• Keep up with the latest industry trends and capabilities
• Experience with high-end, niche, or design-driven markets such as lighting or home furnishings, a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a quantitative, test-driven field
