YDesign Group is looking for a IT Support Engineer to join our team in our Sacramento, CA office. In this position you will be the first point of contact for any of about 150 employees who require desktop and remote work support for their Windows (or some OS X) based systems. You will work closely with the Systems Administrators who will provide assistance where necessary. The ideal candidate will have proven knowledge delivering strong IT helpdesk support while providing incomparable user experience.
Installing, maintaining Windows operating system and associated software
Configuring printers, file shares, email, and performing complete user setup
Support office phone systems, VOIP, basic audio/video equipment for conferencing
Trouble shooting desktop support issues, both hardware, software based
Keeping track of hardware inventory, and software licenses
Configuring users and groups on Windows AD
Escalating IT issues as necessary to the team
On-call support for off-hour issues
Minimum Educational/Experience Requirements:
Experience in Windows operating systems, Domain controllers, Email/Office 365 setup
Experience in security best practices, basic networking and troubleshooting
Experience with general office infrastructure setup
Ability to do research, interact with software providers in triaging issues
Ability to communicate issues in an effective manner to users or management
Self-motivated and enthusiastic about learning new skills
Good understanding of Windows OS, TCP/IP networking, office infrastructure setup
Working knowledge of Mac OS X, IOS & Android.
· Moderately physical in that the activities performed are of an administrative nature
· Occasionally be required to lift up to 25 pounds
· This position is in a well-lighted, heated and air conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation
· The noise level exposure is moderate in that it functions in an open office setting with computers and printers with light traffic
· Occasional travel required to Walnut Creek office location
